Every person has a story (or two) and usually there is still yet
another story below the one told. Every person has an animal, a place,
or an object that represents something essential about who they are, or
what they love.
I gather the stories and symbols and then play. Using paper or
clay, and my own perception of this day, I create visual stories of the
world around and within me. Beyond the sense of play, kindness, and
imagination my work evokes, there is a spirit of singing to what you
love.
I celebrate the connectedness of my passions as I allow the images
and stories to travel from my pottery to my archival prints. From the
prints to my ceramic sculpture. From the sculpture to my paintings.
And then back again.
I am grateful for the connection I receive from paying close and
compassionate attention to the world of color, line, and story. |
